With a wall slowly caving in, the basement of this home needed serious foundation repair. The homeowner called Mid-State Basement Systems for a solution.
We installed the PowerBrace Foundation Wall Support System. This wall support process involves steel beams being anchored down underground beyond the house’s base. A trench is dug for the anchoring and the steel beams are then cinched to the wall. These beams can be adjusted over time to continue to straighten the wall.
When a homeowner discovered cracks in the block walls of his basement, he promptly reached out to Mid-State Basement Systems for assistance. Recognizing that even small cracks can indicate underlying damage, he sought a solution to protect his home. Our dedicated inspector, Jiovanni, conducted a thorough assessment and concluded that the CrabonArmour Wall Reinforcing System was the ideal approach for this project.
The CrabonArmour System incorporates flexible carbon fiber fabric straps, renowned for their exceptional tensile strength, which surpasses that of steel by up to 10 times. Our skilled crew swiftly initiated the necessary repairs. Using a high-strength epoxy resin, the carbon fiber straps were securely bonded to the interior surface of the wall. This innovative technique provides the stability required to reinforce and strengthen the wall, preventing further damage.
By opting for the CarbonArmor Wall Reinforcing System, the homeowner took proactive steps to safeguard his basement and protect his home's structural integrity.
A homeowner in Orient, OH called Mid-State Basement Systems because she was having water leaking into her home and the foundation walls in the basement were cracked. Our crew used several products to permanently repair all of the homeowner's concerns.
We used the WaterGuard subfloor drainage system around the perimeter to prevent further water leakage, CleanSpace vapor barrier on the wall to prevent moisture from entering the basement and make the walls look more appealing, and PowerBrace Beams to prevent further inward movement of the walls.
Now the homeowner will not need to worry about any water or foundation issues in the basement any longer.
Foundation walls begin to buckle, bow, or tilt inward from outside pressure from soil and water and can eventually cause foundation walls to collapse. The PowerBrace system is designed to stabilize failing basement walls and can help straighten them over time.
This Grove City, OH basement had a large horizontal crack in one of the foundation walls, which over time can become a major structural issue. The Mid-State Basements team installed three PowerBrace i-beams to stabilize and support the wall.
This crawl space in Marion, Ohio, had a moisture problem that was causing the floor joists, support beams, and bandboards to rot and become weakened. We sent our production crew, Led by Lane K., out to the home for repairs. The crew installed 2 new bandboards on the front and back of the home (see pictures) and sistered three of the joists in the craw space as well. They also installed SmartJacks to stabilize the home's foundation and help correct any settling.
