Our team conducted a thorough inspection of the basement, carefully evaluating drainage performance and pinpointing the exact locations where water was entering the home.

Based on our findings, we designed a customized waterproofing solution to address the problem at its source. The system included the installation of our patented WaterGuard Drainage System and TrenchDrain System to effectively collect and redirect incoming water away from the foundation. To ensure dependable water removal at all times, we installed a TripleSafe Sump Pump, along with an IceGuard Discharge Line to prevent freezing and maintain proper discharge during colder months.

In addition to cleaning the pumps and its parts, Quality 1st Service Technician Nelson ensures that the sump pump stands be removed and cleaned during annual maintenance along with sanitizing the liner.  The sump pump stands help keep the sump pumps off the bottom of the liner and out of the sediment and water that can accumulate during normal operations. Service Technician Justin removed and cleaned the primary and backup pumps and all of their components. He cleared breather holes and changed check valves. He changed the WaterWatch Alarm batteries and cleaned and sanitized the pump liner. One he reassembled the sump pump system, a test run provided assurance that the system would be ready to operate at peak performance once again!  

This Ridgefield Park, NJ homeowner wanted to insulate their crawl space and so they contacted Quality 1st Basement Systems for the job. The Q1 team insulated the crawl space with SilverGlo which is a heat barrier, keeping the warm air in and the cold drafts out. The team applied the SilverGlo to the rim joist as well because most of the cold air will find entry in from this part of the crawl space. TerraBlock was installed above the SilverGlo for extra insulation to prevent the cold air from coming up from the ground. Lastly, CleanSpace is applied over the TerraBlock, to seal the crawl space off from water vapor, moisture, and water, keeping the crawl space dry and providing the homeowner with a new area for storage. 

The WaterGuard Drainage System is installed just underneath the perimeter edge of the basement floor. Unlike old-fashioned drain tile systems installed on the outside of the home, with the WaterGuard System, there is no gap on the basement floor to let humidity into the space or to collect debris. There is no opportunity for mud clog, because the system sits on top of the footing, away from the "mud zone" underneath your floor.
