Frustration set in for a Wilmington, DE homeowner as persistent water seepage continued to invade their basement, creating damp conditions and raising concerns about potential damage to the space. Realizing the issue would not resolve on its own, the homeowner reached out to the trusted professionals at Quality 1st Basement Systems for a dependable, long-term solution to protect their home from further moisture intrusion.
Following a detailed inspection, our System Design Specialist John pinpointed the precise entry points of the water and designed a customized waterproofing plan to address the problem at its source. The crew installed our patented WaterGuard Drainage System and TrenchDrain System to effectively capture and redirect incoming water, while our SuperSump Premier Sump Pump ensured reliable removal from the basement. CleanSpace Wall Panels were added to create a bright, moisture-resistant barrier, and our IceGuard Discharge Line provided uninterrupted performance during colder conditions.
Together, these systems transformed the basement into a dry, healthy, and well-protected space, giving the homeowner lasting peace of mind!
Customer had an unfinished basement that she was looking to fully finish in the near future. Her first step for the finishing project was to install an Egress window. The customer had several basement windows, but if there were ever an emergency and a fast escape through the basement was needed, there was nowhere to go. This is where we came in, we came out and installed a 48 x 48 Slider Egress window with a RockWell which has a stone look and is UV Stable, rust and rot proof and can stand up to extreme temperatures.
This customer got a finished space featuring our waterproof and mold-resistant products: Mill Creek flooring, Everlast Wall System, and a dropped ceiling. We installed a lovely full bathroom, but since the bathroom sits below the level of the main sewer line and drainage depends on gravity, we also installed a sewer ejection system. (Don't worry! We hid it under the floor in the linen closet. Out of sight, out of mind!) Electric baseboard heat was added to keep the space toasty warm, and a new SaniDry XP Air System handles any moisture in the air and leaves the basement with fresh, filtered air. A wonderful place to hibernate this Winter!
