A homeowner in Golden Valley, MN was looking to have their basement walls refinished, and reached out to DBS for suggestions. The basement contained a traditional drywall finish, which is less resistant to mold and other damages than what DBS has to offer. A home in Brooklyn Park, MN had a basement that was in need of a new appearance. The owner reached out to DBS, and a Design Specialist went to provide them with a free, no-obligation estimate for the basement finishing service. It was determined that DBS would completely update the unfinished area with new flooring, carpet, wall panels, doors, and drop ceiling tiles. This Plymouth, MN homeowner wanted to capitalize on the square footage in the basement. Their dream was to have another living room, a home gym, and office space. Having worked with DBS in the past to correct a bowing wall and install a waterproofing system, they wanted to finish their basement with the DBS water-resistant system.

DBS Design Specialist Jason Swanson visited the home for a free, no-obligation estimate and came up with a custom plan that would incorporate this homeowner's wishlist.  DBS Carpenter Donny Whiting lead the install on this basement finishing project. The team also installed EverLast™ wall panels - the insulated version lined the outside walls and uninsulated for the inner walls. These wall panels are hung via a metal framing system, making them incredibly durable and stronger than drywall.

They installed our ultra-durable, scratch-resistant MillCreek™ flooring throughout the basement. This mahogany color is UV-resistant and provides a thermal break from the cold basement floor.

This owner was happy with the work done and now has a healthy, safe, and comfortable basement to use for years to come. 

A couple from Wayzata, MN called DBS with a water problem in their basement.
