A homeowner in Washington Depot, CT was dealing with water in their crawlspace and needed a proper solution. They called us at Connecticut Basement Systems to have us make their space completely dry! After scheduling an appointment with us, one of our Sales Consultants, Mick Foster, visited the home to assess the issues and propose a solution specific to their crawlspace.
Then the next step would be for one of our Foremen, Antonio Diaz, and his team to work on this project. They installed a CleanSpace vapor barrier around the whole crawlspace. They installed a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier to prevent moisture and mold growth. They also installed a SuperSump Plus to collect any water coming in and pump it out of the home at a safe distance. Now this crawlspace will stay dry and this homeowner will no longer have to worry about getting water damage.
A homeowner in Washington Depot, CT, was dealing with a water issue in their basement. They had an area where it was just dirt. They called us to find a proper solution to this problem and to pour a new floor. One of our Salesmen went to the home to assess this basement, and he proposed our WaterGuard with a new slab.
Shortly after, it was time for one of our Foremen, John, and his crew to begin the prep work for the new floor. They put down gravel and leveled it out to be ready for concrete. Then one of our waterproofing crews came in and laid our WaterGuard drainage system around the perimeter of this space to collect water seepage. They also installed CleanSpace vapor barrier throughout the area to protect from overall moisture. Then finally John came back and poured the new floor, smooth and level.
Now this homeowner is set with a dry basement and a new slab, completely protected from water and moisture.
To fix the water problem in this basement we added a Waterguard and Sump Pump system in to remove the water. After waterproofing, a Thermadry floor was installed to finish it off and give the homeowners a dry, useable space.
When we arrived in this home, the walls were leaking water. However, due to the thick monolithic floors, installing a below-floor perimeter drain would have been very difficult. Instead, we installed the DryTrak baseboard drain pipe, after drilling weep holes to alleviate water pressure. The DryTrak captures all the water that would have seeped into the home, ensuring a dry basement!
When we arrived at this Newtown basement, it was damp and moldy. Every time it rained, water would seep into the room. We first waterproofed the space, then used our finishing products to transform it into a useable living space. We installed BrightWall wall paneling and ThermalDry flooring. In addition to providing the room with a clean, finished look, BrightWall panels keep humidity and water vapor from passing into the room. The ThermalDry tiles keep the basement floor 8 to 10 degrees warmer than the concrete beneath! The owners of this Newtown home now enjoy a bright, dry, finished basement living space!
